Pay no attention to that, Al probably is trying to go on vacation or perhaps he may have some bills to pay.

Chimpanzees are apes. Monkeys have tails.

Probably just a stupid move by an editor that it got published, 'cause anyone can see how it can be taken. It's overtly inflammatory.

    Not so fast, my friends...

Abraham Lincoln was called "The Original Gorilla" - by some of his own cabinet members!

    You can look it up.

You get what you put into things.

People impressions of this are being tainted by their own racism and bigotry.

Sharpton is one of the biggest racists around, so of course the only thing he is going to see is racism.

Maybe I'm used to the Pulitzer prize winning political cartoonists from the Times Picayune during the last 10 years or so, but that cartoon was not educational or funny no matter how you look at it... from any and every perspective. Just poor taste was on exhibition there.

I know what you're saying. I've got a pretty strong sense of humor. I can appreciate a good cartoon or joke even if I don't agree with it from a political viewpoint. I mean, a good jab is a good jab, even if I'm on the recieving end. However, I looked at that cartoon several times over several days. I still "don't get it" somehow. It doesn't make any sense no matter how I look at it, and I find no humor at all - not even sick, twisted and perverted humor. It's just not funny. I'm done thinking about it.

I sure do miss "The Far Side"
