    During 1983-1986:

    --the Broncos had LB Karl Mecklenburg (6-time Pro-Bowler), LB Tom Jackson (3-time Pro-Bowl), S Dennis Smith (6-time Pro-Bowler), CB Louis Wright (5-time Pro-Bowler) and Hall-of-Fame QB John Elway.

    --the Packers had LB John Anderson (one of 6 LBs selected to the NFL 1980s All-Decade Team by voters of the Pro Football Hall of Fame)

    Maybe Vic got actually got a chance to catch a glimpse of them while he was on the practice squad!

    Still, four years of trying to make it to the NFL is interesting experience for a college coach to have under his belt.

    It is pretty much a done deal now.

    Koenning will be the next DC at LSU.

    Now to see what happens to Mallory, Peveto and Lane. I hope we clean sweep it.

    this weekend, but not sure when it will be announced.

    I fail to believe someone like ESPN will be kept from broadcasting it in some way.

    So very soon it will be known to the world.

    The sooner the better.

    Let's get the new defensive coaching staff in place in time to coach this team vs Georgia Tech.
