Some of us blame Bush and Republicans. Some of us blame Obama and Democrats. The funny thing about this is that the financial villains don't care who is in charge. The system is rigged their way on both sides.

And they use the politicians to get laws passed to help their own companies and hurt the competition or push their own personal agendas. All at taxpayers expense. Why else would they spend 100's of millions to get someone elected.

because it is the truth, plain and simple. unless we want to repeat our mistakes we need to recognize the policies that got us into this mess.

If you can get elected to congress at least twice. You'll go from well off to very rich and pretty much set for life.

A piece of the truth is not the truth. It is only a piece of the truth. But when you call it "the truth, plain and simpe" it makes it false.

We suffer huge debt due to both parties reckless spending, albeit on different things. We are currently pumping funny money into an economy with near zero interest rates and nothing remarkable is happening. The money is mostly staying in the hands of the the financial institutions that got us in the economic meltdown mess....and our govt. bailed them out. So nothing much has changed. We continue to feed the monster and grow national debt.

Does that include a Democrat controled country not passing a budget for 4 years?

Don't sit there and act like its all Bush. You are not that stupid. Yea, Bush had some fucked up policies and spent a ton, but you should know full well Democrats played a vital role in the crash.

When government comes up with a solution to a problem they create more problems than they started with. Example. They mandated ethanol in the gas to line the wallets of farm lobbyist i meant curb global warming. What did it do? Froze the price of corn used in feed up which drove beef and chicken prices up and cost us more at grocery stores. Not only did it increase grocery prices, ethanol screws up small engines by breaking down the rubber components in fuel lines and carburetors leading to break downs. Ethanol also separates from the fuel molecules and binds with water molecules leading to poor performance and lower fuel efficiency. Governments solution equaled multiple problems that costs consumers more money.
