This is totally insane, it makes me NOT want to watch any NBA games. I have a bad taste in my mouth!

The NBA and Stern need to give the Hornets the first five draft pics in the NBA draft if we get stuck with Paul.

I posted here last year that the Hornets needed to trade Paul immediately when he first signed with LeBron's agent. I reasoned that with 2 yars left on his contract, he'd be worth something.

Looks like the hornets are giving up a couple of second round picks in the deal. Is this a better deal than what the lakers trade would have gotten?

Hell yes. The Hornets get one of the better young scoring guards in the NBA, a better than average backup center, a pretty damn athletic SF and a top lottery pick in what will be a draft full of future stars.

We also get to see CP3 playing with Blake Griffin which personally I think will be fun to watch, especially with the Lakers playing in the same building...

I'm not so sure that its better than the Laker deal, but it is a good trade. Hornets should be a better team for it by the time the lotto pick next year is playing.

Looks like it turned out ok.

The draft pick should turn out much better than what they would have gotten from the Rockets.

I agree about Griffin and Paul. If they can both stay healthy, that is a lethal combo.

It's a combo that can win a championship if mixed with the right parts.

    Opening Day lineup

PG - Chris Paul, Randy Foye, Eric Bledsoe
SG - Chauncey Billups, Mo Williams
SF - Caron Butler, Ryan Gomes
PF - Blake Griffin, Ike Diogu, Bryan Cook
C - DeAndre Brown, Marcus Hubbard

They obviously still need to make some moves. They need to get a legit backup center if they are going to go with DeAndre Brown.

Is CP3 signing an extension with the Clippers? Or did the Clippers give up that much for only one year of guaranteed CP3? Unless the Lakers get Dwight Howard this year, the Clippers will probably be the more exciting team to watch. CP3 and Blake Griffin seem like a match made in basketball heaven.

The Hornets got some value so it seems like a good deal for them. Gordon battled some injuries last year but still had a solid year. Sounds like that pick could end up being a big plus also.

yes that was part of the deal, that he would sign an extension

no way the Clippers were renting a player for a year

He's not signing an extension; He's just promising to not opt out a year early. He'll be in LA for a two year minimum.
