Schools were trying to hire him for years when he was at Boise, but he wouldn't budge until somehow Washington snagged him. Never hurts to ask, but he's even more doubtful than Shaw and Shaw's not coming here regardless.

Not quite true. While Stanford is a power running team, they have a respectable passing attack to balance it out. And he knows how to develop players who are disciplined and rarely commit dumb penalties; even though tonight's game may not be the best indication of that.
