I think that fake field goal call was a brilliant call by the coaches. There was some confusion on the field and before you knew it they were lining up to kick a 50yd field goal?? Ha, then they pulled the trigger and threw that short pass. Jones stepped up this game and made some critical plays.
Jones definitely made some good plays out there last night. In fact, one of the most important changes we made to the offense after the Florida game was to get Jones involved in the offense out of the fullback or slot positions. With Jones, Zinger and Kory Hebert around, we will be in good shape at TE next year despite the departure of Eric Edwards.
thinking of the wrinkles jones can add to the offense excites me. damn i already miss football season.
The thing about David Jones that is immediately apparent is that he is an ATHLETE. That big man can move!
