In the 2002 World Series, Eck won the Babe Ruth award -- given to the best player of the Series. Here are some numbers:

David Eckstein: .310/.364/.310 (that's right, zero XBH)

And, for good measure:

Not only was David Eckstein wholly undeserving of an award that should have gone to Bonds (or at least Glaus), he was one of the very worst players on either team during the entire series.

Those other guys were born with God given athletic abilities. Eckstein is the kid next door who just loved to play but was never big enough. Give the guy credit for acheiving far above his abilities. Bonds? Please! The only thing God given to him is his African heritage.
