I was all in for Dave also. However, I like what I see in Kelly. Seems methodical and professional. Two qualities i think we missed in the last administration.

Agreed. And as much as I liked several of last year’s coaches (DC, LB, DL, & WR) i have also come around to CBK’s cleaning house and starting from scratch.

I was a HUGE EO fan, why is it LSU is now in every discussion that starts with Gene Chizik and Auburn…….forever. I never understood just how bad this program had declined until another WTF moment with 30 plus players not in a bowl game. EO now fully deserves any and all “swipes” he gets everywhere he goes.

He will still be a young man in 3 years if things dont work out, however I don’t think he will be at Baylor. I also think his demeanor leads him to the NFL sooner vs later, just MHO.

I was not an Aranda fan at all times, but after 19 I changed. This guy is probably the reason we won it all. He pulled that Defense together down the stretch to get us to the top. Burrow and Company deserve it too, but I watched this defense in person at Vandy that year and it was ugly. Joe kept us in it matching scores, but that D couldn't stop anyone and they would have hurt us against better teams. I know injuries were part of that but to go undefeated is not easy in our conference and Aranda held them together.

    Congrats Dave!!!!

The D gets a bad rap for that Vandy game, I think. Yeah, they scored a bunch of points, but I believe they had two defensive TDs.

From the stands you could see they were just out of place and lost. Tackling was bad and angles were wrong. I sure it was due to the youth we had playing but Dave was in it with them teaching through the whole game. I respect a coach (leader) who is there with his team even when things are not going well. They learned a lot early in the year and it benefitted us down the stretch.

The offense carried 2019 till about misd season till the defense got salty.

It was nice to have a Defensive Co-ordinator that knew how to make adjustments.

Dave Aranda and Ensminger /Brady were part of the whole package. That was something Orgeron had learned was get good Coaches and let them coach and you be the guy directing the ship.

But that is what eventually was O downfall when he hired their replacements he hired coaches that didnt have the skill and expertise for the jobs he hired them for. SEC is not on the job training. And the Guice and Title 9 problems and his personal behavior were all factors in the implosion.

Coach Kelly has shown he has the experience to run a big time program and i think he is off to a great start from inheriting the dumpster fire that was the end of Orgeron era.

I thank Coach O for what he did at LSU and 2019 will always be one of the best years in LSU history. For that im greatfull.

As much as 2019 was LSU's Perfect Storm for greatness, 2020 was the Perfect Storm for collapse.
