Dandy reports Matt Stolz will commit next week

TIGHT END POSITION = The T & Y positions.
LSU often uses two tight end set. A solid 4-5 players are needed.
2004 graduates Eric Edwards, Mit Cole verbal & 1 other needed.
Mit is one helluva good blocking TE & will end up about 6'5"-260 after a typical RS year.
Our Rating at these positions =Good, but could be much better

Depth Chart next year looks like this (assumes verbals sign)

T--> David Jones 6'4", 259, JR
Mit Cole, 6’4”, 245, FR (Mississippi) Verbal for LSU
Y--> Demetri Robinson, 6'2", 260, SR
Keith Zinger 6'4", 265, FR

Kory Hebert, 6’4” 229, JR is also listed. Too light to play.
LSU is looking to get one more commitment here.
Tate Casey (TX), also a major league prospect will be offered.
Tate can add the weight and play at 6'6"+ and 240. Tate has good hands and they say a 95mph fastball. Son, that's smokinnnnnnnnnnn.

 

and TEs can play the OL and DL. youre always going to have a bunch of "TE" recruits, but after their freshman year...not many will play TE.

 

While we're on the topic of TE's, does anyone know what we are recruiting West Jeff TE Jeremy Jones as? One place said as a TE and another said OG. He has just started to surface as of late.

They have Tate Casey first on their list --- but he's not a lock.

Jeremy Jones is a teammate of Marlon's and Jeremy is the best and biggest TE in the state with grades to make college.
Nick is making moves to get Jones. Expect Jones and Favorite to verbal by the end of the month.
