    Quoted by DarkHornet:
Is anyone worried that if we get too many so-so commitments in November we may miss out on a few Early Doucets and Luke Sanders when Signing Day comes around?

Isn't it nice to have this to worry about versus what we've had
    in the past.

Shows you just how far LSU football has come in a short period
    of time.

    future Tigers

You always here of "silent committments"..........what's to say that Early and the cream of the crop have not already committed to Saban, but want to take their visits and have the red carpet rolled out for them. Admittedly, I'd still rather they go ahead and make it official though.

The din clears ................................................ a voice is heard

    Ho, Ho, Ho!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Uncle Nick" Saban isn't waiting for the prima donnas (definition provided below) to sing in early February. Nick believes that the Early Bird gets the worm. LSU can make champions out of team players like Matt Stoltz. Stoltz is every bit as good and quick as Sanders. His stock fell with an injury as a junior. The kid led Arkansas in tackles as a Soph. He is a bit bigger than Sanders at 6'3", 235 and said to run with the same 4.6 speed. Let's hope LSU is Lucky Enough to get a committment from this kid. He attends a very good school (private academy in Little Rock) understands the basic principles of teamwork and discipline and is a very good student.

This big committment from AR #1 LB would really "torque" Houston's Nutts, LOL.

    Main Entry: pri·ma don·na
    Pronunciation: "pri-m&-'dä-n&, "prE-
    Function: noun
    Inflected Form(s): plural prima donnas
    Etymology: Italian, literally, first lady
    Date: 1782
1 : a principal female singer in an opera or concert organization
2 : an extremely sensitive, vain, or undisciplined person

Luke Sanders fans ... wake up and smell the coffee ... a personal and up close visit by Uncle Nick to the kid's (Stoltz) house before X-mas, with a trip to the Sugar Bowl on the line and a #3 National ranking. Saban is shoring up the trenches with solid recruiting, gentlemen. Truly, professionalism and masterful work.
I assume (and February will prove me correct) that Nick got an undecided and aloof response from Sanders when he pressed him the latest time for an Early Committment. LOL, with a committment from Mr. Stoltz, Mr. Sanders is no longer needed by LSU. Neither could be moved to the outside, they are inside LBs and two in one class is "TOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" much.

Keep your fingers crossed on this one.

Mr. Sanders is no longer needed? I beg, beg, beg to differ. How can you say that? Keep our fingers crossed on what? That Sanders won't sign? A lot of people think Sanders is the top prospect with Early Doucet in Louisiana...How can you actually say that a top prospect of Louisiana is not needed? I don't care how great of shape our program is in, no talented and top player is "unneeded." That is the dumbest and most ludicrous thing posted....

Thanks for your opinion on my recruiting observations for the Mike position linebacker. Since you like to beg, go put on a Santa's suit and work for the Salvation Army. They need bell shakers this X-mas outside the Wal-Marts. Opinions on recruiting are like a-holes, everyone's got one. Mine's simple, SIMON, and I've followed LSU recruiting closely for over 25 years.

If they don't want to come to LSU, we don't want them.

Uncle Nick has got to put 1 Mike LB "IN THE STOCKING" ... NOW!

Let me turn the TABLES on you, Simon. Pretend you are Luke Sanders, #1 ranked LB in Louisiana in 2003 playing on a championship West Monroe team. You know of LSU's desparate need for a great Mike LB. And you know you're probably guaranteed some playing time with Sr. Lionel Turner ahead of you on the depth chart next year and maybe one other player you have to beat out. Problem is, your idol Sr. Jason LeDoux, also West Monroe HS Rebel, is catching splinters in his arse in his final year of play behind Lionel Turner, the better man. And, you've got a problem with that. So, you're shopping around for a guarantee. You cannot get one from Coach Saban and you don't love LSU enough or trust in your own abilities to commit early for a team on the verge of a NC. You don't want to be another Brian West or Jason Ledoux, seen as a failure sitting on the bench at LSU.

Keep your fingers crossed ... that LSU gets a verbal from Stoltz within the week. Again, in February ... you can call me anything you want, Simon. LOL.

Look at Charles Alexander (Breaux Bridge). He played around and waited too long ... with attitude I have been informed. What did Nick do?

Do you even know what position we are talking about?

DE ... we already had Tyson Jackson. Nick felt LSU needed another as we'll have 2 seniors next year at both DE positions.

LSU wanted Alexander ... but he wanted to play on the FSU/LSU fence.

Nick went out and hauled in Trumaine Johnson, a better player than Alexander. See any similarities between this latest haul & the Sanders & Stoltz deal, LOL. You gotta love Nick Saban. This guy will get a NC for LSU, no doubt. He plays no favorites.

And, he's serving NOTICE that he's wrapping things up this year ... early.

Lamintor, is right. Stoltz is not a so so commitment. This kid has got some talent. He is a four star just like Sanders according to Rivals. Who knows, maybe Stoltz will end up being a better college player than Sanders. No one actually knows.

Exactly Eleven...There is absolutely no bad thing about more depth...I can't believe Ramah would actually claim we don't need Luke Sanders...

Won't Tim Washington and Darrel Johnson count against 2004 signing class? That means we are quickly running out of scholly's, and Early, Luke, Stolz, Steltz, Lucas, X carter, Helms, Favorite, and D Richard is all we have room for about, so we are going to miss out on a lot of other talent. I wish Luke and Steltz would hurry up and commit. Any one know why we are offering so many TE's, we still have a lot after Edwards.
