What's the difference??? Srsly... The man dedicates a website to LSU athletics. You don't like what he writes? Don't read it.

You don't like that you've seen other information someplace else or first? Big deal. CNN airs stories long before channel 2 in Baton Rouge....does that mean the local channel's are rip offs???

THe guy is doing something that he loves doing: following LSU sports and putting his own comments online.

It's annoying to see people attack him because he's doing something he likes doing. This is a free country, brother.

Besides, your post bashing Dandy Don is old hat on this board... You're reporting on an old, rip-off story....

I have never gotten much value of Don's practice reports or game breakdowns (pre or post), personally. All he does is mention a few players (with a select few he seems to always favor), and say that they "looked good". There's never any real analysis.

But it doesn't bother me, I just don't read it.

Dandy Don's site is what I love about the Internet. Anyone can post a site and report news. It's obvious he loves LSU and works hard at his site. Site's like Dandy Don's gives us an alternative to the Glenn Guilbeau's of the world.
Can you imagine your only choice of reading coming from Glenn Guilbeau? It's your right to go to his site or not. I like visiting his site about once a week to see what's on it.

That's my stance too.... I just don't see why people want to bash a person that is obviously just trying to live his hobby.

I have seen the site on occasion and I think it is great that the guy gets to live his passion. Most people go through life half assing it or doing something just for a check.

Many folk who knock him are folk looking for an easy way to look knowledgeable without the work and or investment. Lack of respect or gratitude is a bit gracious. The word that comes to mind is parasite.

i've never heard kw say that, so a link would be nice.

and i also know mr. long personally, i'm a friend of his grandson's and what i said was straight outta his mouth.

i also remember on the other forum someone making fun of dd when jai eugene committed and he said "dd said he'd bet me a coke that jai will end up at lsu."

well we know what happened with that too.

he knows his stuff, most of the time he's asked not to post it so he doesn't. also, anyone can email him and he'll tell you much more than his report tells you. he spents virtually all day answering emails and about 30 minutes writing his report.

I can't find it with a quick google search, but he did say it. Maybe somebody else can find it.

I don't mean to question Don's honor or anything, but that doesn't make it true.

no that might not make it true, but the fact that kw did end up at lsu gives it some credence. the fact that dandydon lives in lafayette, watched kw play ball, and even refereed some games that kw played in... well that gives me a lot more to stand on than what you're throwing out there.

Keiland didn't send in his LOI until several days after signing day, so obviously he was not an LSU commit. Now, maybe he had told Don that he was & then changed his mind to favor USC (only to change it again later). That's possible, but personally I think it's more believable that Don got some "inside info" that Keiland was going to commit to LSU, and reported it as having already happened when it actually hadn't.

But I do not know Don or Keiland, so I can only guess.
