I think Russell compares favorably to the others who are said to have been so much better. Flynn's and Schaeffer's stats are impossible to really compare with so little playing time. Leak had a very good completion percentage his first year and I think that kind of sets him apart from the others somewhat, however he also had the lowest TD to INT ratio. He also has a 3 int. game his first year like Russell had last year. Ainge had a pretty good completion percentage too. But I don't think anyone can say they were light years ahead of JR. JR also had the highest yards per completion out of him Leak and Ainge.
Cajdav, please do not use statistics to back up this argument. I don't want this discussion to end so abruptly. I'd much rather watch Roygu try to finagle his way out of a ludicrous statement. "Umm....OH YEA!? Well what about Quincy Carter? He was good as a freshman, and Saban didn't get him!"
*writes this down* note to self: do not ever get caught in an argument with cajdav1. . umm, ever. . .
LOL. By the way, Sanders being hurt this spring is really going to hurt him I believe. Having a chronic shoulder problem doesn't bode to well for a football player, I hope this isn't a harbinger of things to come with him. I was hoping to see Charles Alexander step up this spring too, sorry he was hurt.
