With five - **** Stars and one - ***** Star their recruiting class is steaming along.

Are the guys they've got commitments from the type of guys who are going to stay ranked as the season progresses or do you think some of them will begin to fade a bit.

Florida is in a prime situation to be at the top of the SEC East, won 2 NC games in 3 years, AND have a state that is loaded with top talent this year.

We are definitely going to need to put the full court press on some of the great out of state players in order to keep our place near the top of pile in recruiting, especially with this being a mediocre year for LA talent.

Does anyone think that Florida is going to hit the #1 recruiting ranking this year? Maybe Urban won't have to be a sleazeball to get his recruits this time around.

Florida and Texas will probably finish near the top.

Talent level in Louisiana isn't down that much really.. it's not as top heavy though. Thankfully in 2011 it looks absolutely stacked. Florida can't sign them all. FSU is on probation. Miami will pick up a few.. we should sign a few quality players from Florida this year I would think.

Texas and Florida being so stacked helps us too.

I think Florida is hurting Miami the most on their rebuilding on its football program. It looks like that Florida is getting the cream of the Florida recruits. Then take FSU getting a few too, it just makes it harder for Miami to rebuild.

Not only that LSU, Bama and UGA recruits pretty well in that state as well. You also see lonely Ole Tulane gets one or two from that state as well. Sure they might be 2 or 3 star recruits, but it still hurts the Miami rebuilding the football program.

Doesn't that make having a great season this year even more important? We need to stay relavent nationally to continue recruiting like we have.

As long as Coach Miles is here at LSU, LSU will have a top 10 recruiting class.

What is the word on Barnes? Hearing he is not a commit to UF.
