Don't remember which of the ESPN radio guys said it, (may have been Salsbury) but they said they think JJ already has someone lined up. They think whoever it is had some input in the Garrett as OC hire. They didn't see how the new HC would be successfull without having at least a little say in who's on his staff.
Seems like Jerry Jones should give Steve Mariucci a call since he's sitting on his can over at the NFL Network. He probably would be a pretty solid choice considering the cupboard is not bare. When he had talent in SanFran Mooch did a pretty damn good job.
He pprobably would be a decent one, but for some reason, I'm thinking Jones will try to land a big fish. He has an ego that requires a big splash every so often.
I hope his big fish isn't Norv Turner. It didn't take Al Davis very long to run him off. IMO Norv is a solid coach, but he would be cast back into a similar situation...he'd be working for an owner who wants to be really involved.
Miles would never work for an arrogant prick like Jones. Anybody who brings in a player like TO is a loser in my opinion.
Totally irrevelant to the topic but.......Met Singletary in Hawaii during Pro Bowl week back in his playing days. Man was an absolute prick. Same can be said for Ronnie Lott. On the flip side, Jackie Slater, Walter Payton and Harry/Henry (?) Carson were really friendly.
Miles has worked for Jones, and reportedly has a good relationship with him. He still isn't a candidate.
