I remember JJs recruitment pretty well. He was a Rivals 4 star (upgraded from a 3 after the LSU offer I think but don't hold me to that) That year we were trying to to land some top QBs like EJ Manual or Darren Thomas. LSU kept JJ on the back burrner because he wasn't getting offers and they knew they could get him any time. When the other options fell through they picked him up. LSU didn't even offer JJ until November which shows he was not a high priority.

As far Saban's recruitment goes I'm sure the Bama staff had some communication with him but that's about it They never had him out of an official visit and never made him an offer even though he was on the board late into the recruiting year.

Why because he said that he calls better plays on first down that he does on 3rd? Because he said he would change the play calls in that game knowing what he knows now?

If you are satisfied with the offense, congrats, and you need to hook a brotha up with your dealer, because obviously my sh!t is bunk.

Whoa ... strawman argument alert! I was not satisfied with the offense. I just think it's an oversimplification of how coaching staffs delegate responsibility to say that if it didn't work it had to be because Miles was involved.

Offensive coordinators can produce crappy game plans too. It's not always because the coach was meddlesome.

Please explain to me what I am missing as I stated over and over again that Ole miss and LSU were the only two schools that wanted him? You can visit as many schools as you like doesn't mean they want you, right.

The fact still remains Saban never offered him a scholarship. I am willing to bet there is a reason for this other then just let Miles have him. I am also willing to bet that JJ didn't tell Saban nah, I don't want a scholarship to bama. If Saban wanted to fight for JJ he would have. Fact is he didn't.

Oh well, y'all can debate this all day long. JJ admitted to only having a scholarship offer by Ole Miss and LSU. They were the only two schools serious about him. JJ is gone. Moving on.

I never said Saban offered him. I simply replied to what you said that "Saban wasn't recruiting him". In your article, JJ said Bama was. JJ said he said yes to LSU on the spot b/c that is where he wanted to go. It is entirely plausible that once he was offered from LSU, he made it known to Auburn, Alabama and Florida that he was off the table.

whooooooaaaaaa Tap....whoooaaaaa now. LSU didnt just sign two 1st Team All-American, National award winning CBs, in PP7, TM& & Mo. They developed them. They are both outstanding recruiters but I dont think I can give either one of them the edge. They are both great but completely different.
