Saban did recruit him as did others and this was his high school bio...

I am quite aware of how he played in high school as I went to the football games being my brother and I graduated from Destrehan High. Class of 94' My brother graduated with JJ at Destrehan. This has been stated well before you came to this site. I don't have to pretend to know him. But it is good that you know how google works.

what's interesting is Alabama's defense didn't get to use the plays they practiced either:

"Everything we practiced, we didn't get to do none of it," Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart said. "They did a lot of different stuff tonight. We had to adjust the first series and change up from what we did. They were completely different. It was like playing a different team, which I think hurt them more than us."

"Our kids competed hard, tackled well, played fast. It wasn't really about the X's and O's."

Got to believe that some type of passing game was in order. Coach Saban set up the run with 1st down passes. Even then, LSU stubbornly gave up little room, rushing, until late in the contest. Like Alabama, it would take a decent commitment to the pass and much like what AJ accomplished on 1st down, you needed to break tendencies. Keeping either defense off balance, with all that lateral speed for 4 quarters, was going to be a tall order.

Yeah...if they had chosen any other team they probably would have been able to play in the Insight Bowl, or the Go Daddy.com Bowl. Shame they had to suffer through being the best team in the country for 13 out of 14 games. :rolleye33:
