When all is said and done, let's revisit this next season when we have gone undefeated...AGAIN.

I'd rather go 12-1 with a national title than undefeated in the regular season, any year. 1 year from now, 5 years from now, 20 years from now we'll still look at the NCG as a travisity. Years after Miles is gone it will still be remembered as the lowest point of his career and the single worst game ever under him while he was at LSU.

A NC next season would do a lot to erase the ache of this lose, but it doesn't change the fact that it is what it is.

I love, love, LOVE LSU football, but I truly think some folks are wrapping WAY too much importance into that one game. It sucked, we sucked, LSU lost. The world is still turning.

1 year from now, if we've won the NC, it will seem much smaller. 5 years from now, it will be a mere afterthought. 20 years from now, it'll be, "Man, that NCG was a bad night."

It'll just be another one of those moments in LSU history that we felt was bad, but it isn't as huge of a fail as everyone wants to make it out to be.

For one, I still loved that undefeated regular season. I've seen 2 national championships, but only one undefeated regular season. I'd have loved for our team to have a NC to go along with it, but we don't, and it's okay. Really.

I'd rather go 13-1 (with the 1 loss in the title game) and finish #2 than go 8-5 and finish not ranked in the Top 25 of either poll like we did in 2008. I know losing the title game was disappointing, but Jesus Christ, man, get some perspective and pull yourself together

les miles is hard headed and wants to run the offense, let your o/c run the offense and just stick to being the head coach

Come on...seriously? The Ole Miss debacle was far worse.

We came up against a team that had an greater incentive to win and we had a QB who was scared to death to play. Granted the coaching staff could have made changes and while maddening it wasn't the worst ever.

I'm not a sky is falling guy. We were due a bad game...happens every season. It's just unfortunate that it happened in the biggest game of the season. But overall I'm satisfied where we are. At the beginning of the season NO ONE expected us to be undefeated with the schedule we had. Next year was supposed to be our year. Now with a decent QB we can see the potential of a good offensive game. I fully expect a head scratcher but other than that we are loaded.

I find it laughable that so many of you guys think being a head coach means one doesn't COACH. He does; get over it.

During the Arkansas game, I was able to sit six rows behind the LSU bench. Miles coached the offensive line and the tight ends during every single tv timeout.

He didn't just stand their eating grass and picking his nose.

I'd rather go 13-1, finish 2nd and have our one bad game be the NCG than go 3-8, get blown out by middle of the road Auburn and Kentucky and lose to a mediocre Houston Team. So many of you forget the dark days of LSU football when all we had to look forward to was Baseball season. Most of you seem to be spoiled by the last decade and totally forget the decade before that we were the laughing stock of the SEC, almost equivelant with Vandy.

You are right Stacey. I have seen him many times make adjustments with players on the sideline. He is always coaching guys on technic or how they can get the advantage on beating their man. If thats not coaching I don't know what is.
