Ochinko struck out to end the inning. Two runners stranded. End of the 1st: LSU 1, UVA 0.

 

I think we could've really gotten in this kid's head with another hit there. I think he threw 28 pitches.

 

Yeah, but we got the freshman rattled early. Hopefully, his pitch count and nerves will do him in.

Good 1st. wish we coulda put at least one more on the board to put more pressure on the freshman on the hill.

 

At least six batters have already had a chance to see him. We can run him early with a few more innings like that.

 

If Ranaudo is on, then LSU will be in good shape.

For the LSU batters, I wish the righties would quit trying to pull the ball. LeMahieu and Ochinko both struck out because they were trying to hit outside pitches to left.

We got a break there! I'm surprised that wasn't caught. I don't like that corner.
