I was just listening to Hawthorne interview Coach on the radio. Thanks to Jungmann's insane 9 inning performance yesterday, all Texas' top relievers are fresh and ready to go. The only Texas relievers to see any action the last 8 days (since 6/16) were: 6/19/2009 vs Ariz State Austin Wood......... 3.0 IP 6/22/2009 vs LSU Wood, Austin.... 2.2 IP Dicharry, Austin.... 1.0 IP Workman, Brandon.... 1.2 IP Other than that, the only pitchers Texas has used over the last 8 days are their starters Chance Ruffin (who started Game 1 against LSU) and Taylor Jungmann (who started Game 2 against LSU). Those are the only two pitchers that Texas will be short today. Coach said that he expects a low-scoring game that comes down to pitching, defense, and situational hitting.
Before this begins, let me say Im very proud of this team and the fan support that this team has brought to the plate with them. Win or Lose these guys have played with the pride of Champions and I salute them for the sportsmanship they display. That Being Said " COME ON TIGERS, NO MERCY TONIGHT:angryfire:angryfire

LSU 1st: LeMahieu flew out to deep LF. Schimpf struck out swinging. Dean was hit by a pitch. Ochinko singled. (Mainieri confused me with his lineup shuffle! I thought this was Gibbs.) Mitchell hit a 3-run homer to RF!!! LSU 3, Texas 0 - Bottom 1st
