On the bright side, I have to wait at home this afternoon for a package, so I won't have to feel stuck at home if LSU plays until 2 PM my time (that's midnight for you Louisiana/Texas/other CDT residents). Oh, and GEAUX TIGAHS!!!!
I was looking at the Texas roster, and 91.2% of their players (31 of 34) are from Texas (the other three are from California). Compare that to LSU: 64.7% of our players (22 of 34) are from Louisiana (only two are from Texas: soph. Gibbs and soph. Dishon). Of course, Louisiana only has 18.1% of the population that Texas has. Yet, it is interesting to see how deep the Texas pride is on the Texas bench. The whole team pretty much grew up singing: The stars at night - are big and bright Deep in the heart of Texas! The prairie sky - is wide and high Deep in the heart of Texas! The sage in bloom - is like perfume Deep in the heart of Texas! Reminds me of - the one I love Deep in the heart of Texas! and There's a yellow rose in Texas, that I am going to see, Nobody else could miss her, not half as much as me. She cried so when I left her, it like to broke my heart, And if I ever find her, we nevermore will part. She's the sweetest little rosebud that Texas ever knew, Her eyes are bright as diamonds, they sparkle like the dew; You may talk about your Clementine, and sing of Rosalee, But the yellow rose of Texas is the only girl for me. and loving the Texas flag, the flag of the Lone Star State:
Really, how f'ing awesome is that? Purple, gold, purple. I mean you couldn't help but notice it even if you weren't looking for it. I love it!:thumb:
