LSU 3rd:

LeMahieu tripled off the RF wall.
Schimpf lined out to 2B.
Dean walked. Runners at 1st and 3rd.
Gibbs struck out swinging.
Mahtook hit into a fielder's choice, 5-4.

Lead off triple stranded. Ouch.

End of 3: Texas 5, LSU 1

 

thats was pitiful DJ hits a no out triple and they can't even bat him in.

 

Damn Tigers!...at least make them earn it.

 

Again Texas gets lucky with LSU stranding runners at 3rd and 1st! You're luck isn't going to last all night Texas!!!

 

I'm no expert on baseball, but don't you have a better chance of hitting the ball if you swing at it?

Gotta get to their starting pitcher... that dude is good.

 

I would love for someone to help me understand this concept as well..

 

Texas is here because they're good. No doubt! But name me a team in this year's post-season that had more good fortune than Texas.

How do you figure that? UT is the #1 seed, LSU is #3. Texas' coach has 5 national titles, the LSU coach has zero. LSU is the underdog here.
