wow this game is like a football game kept me in my seat I was raising some hell tonight, that was awesome :milesmic: just pure Amazing from the whole LSU team and texas geez trying to give me a heart attack at 25 come on guys :tigbas: lol Prayers go out to all the players and family great game.....
They're not going to roll over for us. Their coach has won as many national championships as Skip, so he'll have them ready. We'll have to earn it by going out and taking it from them, like we did tonight.
:geaux: Totally agree. No doubt that Garrido will have them ready to play again. I just hope the Tigers can jump on them early with more than just one run and put the pressure on them immediately. As far as a previous post regarding pitching, hasn't Renaudo had enough rest to start tonight if CPM decides to go with him? Will be almost four days since his last start against Arkansas last Friday wasn't it? Wouldn't be surprised if Manieri went with Ross, but he could also just as easily go with Renaudo to try and close it out. I also like the fact that we've still got Bradshaw and Cain available for tonight. I think we may see one or both tonight no matter who starts. :LSU231:
What a game. Got home in the bottom of the 7th to watch one of the greatest coaching chess matches I have ever seen. With the exception of I thought CPM left Coleman in too long, that was a great display of strategy. Funny we switched roles and beat them with our version of small ball.
LSU has 55 wins, including 14 in a row at crunch time. Manieri has consistently pushed the right buttons all season long, yet some feel the need to question him in the middle of a tightly contested ball game. Coleman was pitching well. The wind blew a couple of pop ups into the stands but, thanks to Coleman, no one was on base at the time. Coleman is a senior with the skins on the wall and has shown the ability to tough it out when he needs to. Once again CPM's gut proved correct. Those of you who sullied this thread with their constant crybaby posts are hereby suspended for one game. You know who you are.
As nerve-wracking as it was, we may have needed a game like that to show that LSU could win the close ones, things were going way too easy in Bracket 1. Regardless of who we have on the mound tonight I just don't see us giving up 5 solo HRs again in this series. Texas is gonna have to earn it too, and given the way they lost last night that's gonna be hard to get out of their heads.
