1. I'm not a MLB fan and it's things like this that turn me off on the league.

As you well know they held their draft last night. UArk had a player drafted 22nd and it was announced while he was playing against Dallas Baptist in their regional.

Now, imagine for a minute...the NBA holding their draft while we're watching the Elite 8 during the tourney. Or, the NFL having their draft the same night as the CFP's are on TV.

In my opinion it's daft of the MLB to do this to these kids. Simply, out of touch with the college game. We've talked about the distractions teams face in bowl games when players are thinking about the draft and not the game they're playing. A league doing this...literally blows my mind. I don't get the reasoning.

  2. That and the fact that the signing deadline is too late for a college team to sign someone else when they lose a prospect.

Coach, the Saints just called. They drafted me in the first round. I'm outta here,
  4. I hate to root for Auburn at anything but they are down 2-1 in the 5th to the gayturds. Geaux PlainWarEagleFakeTigers!

  5. That line is your explanation. Unlike football and basketball, baseball has its own feeder system. If a ML prospect is in college, that means the college stole him from a minor league team a couple of years ago, at least in MLB's eyes. They don't give a damn if they interfere with a kid's college game, because in their eyes, he shouldn't have been there in the first place.
  6. As the college game has grown and gained popularity more and more upper echelon high school players are turning down 7 figure bonuses to opt for college if the MLB team won't meet their number.

  8. What's the word on Turang? @tirk
  9. We fucked. The Brewers are about a mill over cap with one other pick - committed to ole miss- left.

    5mill+

    Turang 3.5+
    Gray 1.5

Hopefully they sign both so the rebs miss out too.
