OK Einstein, now explain to us how its Obama's fault that not enough US kids are going to college and studying science. Or were you following the topic at all?
only in your eyes amigo. I know you don't like it but sometimes you just have to eat what is on the plate. Your boy barry fed us a bit ol sh!t sammich.
Did you know there are about 40,000 welding positions right as I type this that are going unfilled. About 10,000 of them are in Alabama. Have you heard about the huge shortage of master carpenters and plumbers we are facing? There are tons of jobs that are out there, and we don't even have enough illegal Mexicans to fill them.
That's what I was saying earlier. You don't just become a master plumber or any other top in their field position over night. You have to work in the field for years and continue to improve yourself. Once you reach the top in your field you can make a good living. There are engineers here at the refinary that aren't making any more, lots of times less, than contractors that work here doing speciality work.
Off topic as usual. OK, then you tell me how Barry is responsible for there not being enough US science students to fill our science jobs? Especially how he is responsible for a problem that has existed for 30 years! You are both knee-jerk ideologues who automatically blame Obama for everything. Every topic, no matter how unrelated to the office of the president is Obama's fault. Both of you have brains and fail to utilize them, you just ape Limbaugh and Beck. It's sad.
Indeed. There are jobs for welders if they are trained and experienced and willing to relocate. Few employers will accept a walk-in with no skills and train them up. The jobs pay from 40K to 60K. There are opportunities for young men and they are taking advantage of them. A 19-year old son of a former girlfriend that I helped raise, is studying welding at the Technical College in Port Allen with excellent prospects for employment. 40K is a lot of money to him and he's single and mobile. But they aren't a real option for out-of-work family men with property, mortgages, kids in school, and who have lost factory and technical jobs making 60K - 90K.
