He is young and thinks nothing can hurt him, but his coach did the right thing. There is no sense getting beat to death when the game was way out of hand.

Maybe he should direct his anger at Vandy's O-line and their blocking (or lack thereof) schemes.

    Well said!

I heard a radio announcer saying he was maybe the #2 QB in the country and would be a first day draft choice. (I think that was it....yes, I recall they said Matt Leinert was 1 and he was 2 or 3 ) Anyway, maybe his dad was mad at their O line and the fact that if he got hurt his draft status would change and his pro career would slip away.Maybe he saw the score and said if you can't protect him better pull him...... or maybe his flask was empty.:D

Speaking of complaints...did anyone hear the ESPN announcer jack the LSU fans. I was in and out of the game, so I can't recall which one was going on about it. Seems like it was right about the time Cutler got whacked in the head.

One announcer was impressed with LSU spirit and the fan strength at the game. Then the other kicks in with the "yeah, but...blah, blah, had to apologize for attacking the Tenn. buses, blah, blah, they're known for being rude, blah, blah.

About that moment I was thinking he needed one of those infamous bourbon bottles hurled over the side from the stands up high.

It was Ok for the backup QB to get beat to death though. Those poor guys, it must be truly disappointing to know that you will never be able to compete for an SEC title. They can't recruit because the high schoolers are afraid to get made fun of for committing to Vandy. The announcers said that during the telecast.

LSU Engineer could get "booted" off the VandyMania forums for his last post (if he posted it over there).

If he wants to bitch and whine...do it about the offensive line. Our DL was in his face on nearly every play. Now the late hit at the end of the game was called and it was a legit call, but this is football not pool.

I thought the view of Daddy as his kid was taking a well-deserved beating was great. I think they've stumbled onto a new camera angle, that should be ready at all times.

Just like the XFL gave us the over-the-field-behind-the-line-of-scrimmage-cam, we should have a Mommy-and-Daddy-Cringing-Because-their-Kid-is-getting-Brutalized-Cam. Good times!!!

Gotta admit. If my son was playing at Vandy behind that offensive line i would be concerned too.

I dont think i could even watch and i would make sure the ambulance was full of gas and had all the life saving equipment ready.

I almost felt bad for the guy once the game was in hand because you could see it coming.
