You should evacuate Nawlins, sit in traffic for 15 hours like everybody did last year and watch the hurricane hit 225 miles east of New Orleans (like Ivan). Then sit in another 15 hours of traffic to get back home.

I wish the hurricane would wipe New Orleans off the map. I've had it with the Saints!

 

Big reason I am not leaving is the looting that would occur if I wasnt home to protect my belongings

I understand that totally, but what if their is nothing there to protect.

Most of the area including the Northshore is only 12ft above sealevel. They are talking about a 20 ft storm surge.

They have already said that is this thing hits New Orleans that the levees WILL NOT be able to hold the river back. New Orleans will be completly under water.

I dont think there will be anyone there to loot, and if they stay and it hits they wont be there long.
