The new eatery in the Perkins road overpass areas is Crispy Catch. I checked it out yesterday. It is definitely a fast food place with a very limited menu but their catfish tacos are actually pretty good. They call their hush puppies "Corn Bobbers" for some silly-ass reason, but they are very good, not an afterthought like in many fish places.

Its owned by one of the Tony's Seafood people. Those guys have always been able to get the freshest seafood. I wish they would open another Tony's in South Baton Rouge. I would go there a lot more often if I didn't have to go to Plank Road.

Not going to happen. They make the lions share of their money off the Louisiana fish fry brand and their national sales. Most money spent on expansion will be spent there as the rate of return is significantly higher.
