"I have no plans to leave LSU because I'm very happy here. I'm waiting for an NFL team to provide me with a plan and make me even happier, then I'm gone."

To be candid, Coach Saban could have said...

I love Coaching at LSU and don't know if I would leave. I suppose, given that I have always dreamed of being in the NFL, I might consider an offer there, I have in the past, but all I can say now is that it's great to Coach at LSU and I promise to be honest with all."

I am not mad at Saban, hell I love Nick Saban, I am more mad at myself for being suckered in by it.. Being has intereviewed 3 times for the NFL I always believed he is being courteous he loves LSU (Which he probably does) and does want to raise his family in Baton Rouge, And he does want to be here a long time, and he does want to be our Bowden, or our Stoops, or our Long time coach....
I am not mad he said those things, I am mad I bought it hook line and sinker...
Only to be very dissapointed when it wasnt really true.

Neither am I TT. Nor am I mad at myself and I like you will forever have the most fond memories of the great work that Coach Saban did for LSU. He will leave LSU a much better place than he found it.

My only regret is that he was sneaky in this matter.

i agree and also with TT (we are buds from tidefans.com), i guess i feel like the girlfriend at the prom, my date thinks i'm great, loves me, but, has always wanted to date a playboy bunny and that damn bunny is wispering in my boyfriends ear. its like i love you until something better comes along, and oh by the way its not about the money (they just love those bunnies).

I still appreciate all that Coach Saban has done for us - but it still hurts my heart to have to go through this. If Coach Saban does leave i will buy Butch Davis a treadmill to help him loose those extra pounds that he has been worried about. I still can't believe we are going through this less that 12 months after bringing home the NC.

    It is gonna get hard

It is gonna be hard to recruit. So ,where does he leave us now ??? He looked down from way up North and saw a lot of talent , he knew the ground work that had been done , but now if he leaves, it will be known after the Bowl Game , that will really help in getting a recruit, .So tell me how is that going to help LSU ?? Really is he leaving LSU in better shape , the good recruit who wants to play for him will not come to Baton Rouge but will go to Knoxville or somewhere else . Not to many years ago we had another Coach do us this way in fact i think he went to the same pro team . It took two years to see what effect it had on a recruit , his replacement Mike Archer had to leave Baton Rouge , I think he is the D Coach at KY . So Saban leaves us in better shape than he found us . RIGHT ??? I say he leaves us in a hole that we have been in before !! Thanks for the NC it was fun !!!

Totally off base with this one.

The only way the program will be hurt is if we hire some lame-o as head coach. I can't see that happening. And that we can give thanks to Saban for. There is no turning back. Only green pastures lie ahead.
