Dayumm! We just got in from NOLA, been raining since last night. I thought the water when we launched was high (for those of you that don't know, I almost drove my truck down the boat ramp, because it was under water and I couldn't see it. Nootch saved me.). Prayers for the missing couple, hopefully they are ok. Lake Pontchartrain had seas of probably 3 feet on average as we were crossing just now. Mother Nature is apparently trying to remind us on this anniversary weekend that she could bring another Katrina any time she wanted. On a side note, I was at a table in the Casino last night and watched a friend lose about 75K in about 30 min. It was a sad thing to witness, but he took it like a man.
I need to watch the news more I guess. We've been in a drought and can't seem to get any rain. Before last week it must've been a month. Would rain 5 miles any direction but not on us.
Wow. If this guy ever wants to throw more money in the bush I have indian hawthornes in front of my house.
I think I would be more upset losing $500 than he appeared to be w/ his loss. I just am not made to gamble.
Hey Nootch...Jus Sayin Bro. They were mediums and not real big but plenty enough to boil. I'd pulled the shells off of a bunch as the ice put them in a coma so I would have plenty of room and also not to hafta do that when I got home.
I've been running 5 traps in Lake Pontchartrain for about the last 3 weeks. Checking them twice a week (should be out there 3 times, just don't have the time). Been getting all the number 1's we can handle. Good thing my sister lives here - she's been gracious enough to take some off of my hands for me
