Re: Could we look back on this loss and say that's the day Les Miles star started to This is being optimistic, but I don't think that is what will be typical. We were schooled last night, but this team has pride, and it has been wounded. We were talking smack all week, and then got smacked in the mouth for our efforts. We probably deserved it. Perhaps now we will go forward and worry more about taking care of business.
Re: Could we look back on this loss and say that's the day Les Miles star started to THats what has got me nervous. The LSU lines were dominated. They will have to man up. Also, this year Ive not seen LSU have the right players in the right situations at the right places. Thats all on coaching. The DCs have done a bad job all year long. This is not the LSU D we have grown accustomed to. Sure we lost a lot but the talent is there. You are bound to get beat when you allow a great QB and WRs all night to pass. To make matters worse you have a LB or S covering the most explosive player on the field.
Re: Could we look back on this loss and say that's the day Les Miles star started to If you look at the stats, the Alabama/Georgia game was much closer than the score indicated. 5 key first downs awarded to Alabama during the first half by the refs was the major difference in the game.
Re: Could we look back on this loss and say that's the day Les Miles star started to 41-9 to Fla. 44-15 to Fla. 31-0 to Ala. 45-16 to Ga. Under Saban, remember the Ga game in 2004? it wasn't as close as the one last night. plenty of football left to play
Re: Could we look back on this loss and say that's the day Les Miles star started to I think we'll all look back at this thread as being the day we all discovered WestCoastTiger is a retard.
Re: Could we look back on this loss and say that's the day Les Miles star started to Seems like he was just trying to stir the pot since the hasn't responded since he started the thread.
Re: Could we look back on this loss and say that's the day Les Miles star started to What cracks me up the most about this thread is the focus on the coaching - and I'm not just talking about the original post. LSU gets owned in the Swamp and somehow the coaching staff is to blame. The game I watched featured missed tackles, missed assignments, and some outright "getting beat" at the line of scrimmage. Blaming coaching schemes may contain some merit, but I cannot believe schemes are the root cause of the kind of raping LSU endured last night. The Oline and Dline were outplayed, physically. Scheme or no scheme. Florida was certainly faster and, if not more talented, just as talented. Seems to me that blaming the loss on the schemes and the DCs is overlooking and shortchanging what the Florida players achieved on both sides of the ball - which is called domination.
Re: Could we look back on this loss and say that's the day Les Miles star started to The schemes were horrible and no adjustments. You right though, as I mentioned the OL and DL showed zero heart. They were dominated. The pursuits and tackling was as bad as Ive seen from a LSU team. It was a pathetic performance all the way around.
Re: Could we look back on this loss and say that's the day Les Miles star started to Im starting to honestly feel for sorry for you. Actually more so than some others in this thread, which is scary.
Re: Could we look back on this loss and say that's the day Les Miles star started to Its funny watching the bandwagon fans jump ship when your team loses. I bet on Missouris board and OU's board there are similar posts. As a Buckeye fan we have had so many bandwagon fans jump ship they complain when we win now as well. No matter how you slice it these are still young men we are expecting to be perfect and for some of us "grown ups" to bash these kids when they lose its sad I mean really sad.
