If Miles sucks, like you think, then why didn't he do as bad as Zook, who inherited Spurrier's players?

    Florida under Spurrier (1990-2001)
    90 - 9-2
    91 - 10-2
    92 - 9-4
    93 - 11-2
    94 - 10-2-1
    95 - 12-1
    96 - 12-1
    97 - 10-2
    98 - 10-2
    99 - 9-4
    00 - 10-3
    01 - 10-2

    Florida under Zook (2002-2004)
    02 - 8-5
    03 - 8-5
    04 - 7-4

    Florida under Meyer (2005-today)
    05 - 9-3
    06 - 13-1
    07 - 9-4
    08 - 4-1

This game was loss because of heart and coaching. Sure Lee played bad at times but so did the WRs. The main thing was no run, meant Lee was forceed to throw. The DL, was flat out dominated. There was no push at all. To make it worse there were no blitz packages. Tebow can be rattled. Thats what I loved about Muschamp, he didnt care if he was beat deep sometimes, he would bring it all the time. I think our DC have done a horrible job thus far. This is by far the worse tackling team weve fielded in years. There were so many broken tackles. Considering LSU had two weeks to prepare they looked like crap to put it bluntly. I thought the DBs played well for the most part. It was the lack of intensity and push from the DL and the poor schemes and tackling which did LSU in.

Doucet & Hester "NS'ers" each scored 1 TD. Last time I checked, a Touchdown was worth 6 points.

    38-26 = 12

    Hey Westcoast,
LSU got an ass whippin tonight from a very talented RANKED team on the road. It happens. Coach Miles is partly to blame.Yes there are questions in particular on defense. LSU will bounce back and finish the season as most expected in a down year for us. If you want to pull for Nick Saban, he coaches a team east of here, but look out for the ULM's on the way!:rolleye33::thumb:

This game was anybody's game after your second touchdown to start the second half.
You caught us when we were ON. If that first touchdown pass to Harvin had been knocked down, things may have turned out differently. We played to take away Scott and your running game. And we did that. Lee is going to be good but he is still young. He'll only get better as the year goes on. I like Crowton as a offensive coordinator. Don't know who the defensive coordinator is. Still alot of football left to be played. You guys had to replace some pretty good players from last years team. You've done that with some talented players as well but they aren't as seasoned. They'll get better and make Les look better.
I would be more concerned about Bama and Saban stealing some recruits from La. He's really doing a job this year with Bama. If Les can beat an undefeated and #1 ranked Alabama in Baton Rouge, I think it would be almost as big as last years NC. I know that sounds kind of crazy, but Bama is really making a move to take back the west.

Not concerned about Bama stealing recruits that LSU wants. The Bama QB is not close to a Tebow & is not good in the short or long passing game. LSU will beat them in Baton Rouge IMO.

Love this post, but if winning it all last year didn't convince the 'winning with <Alabama Coach> players' of their ignorance, then nothing will.

Re: Could we look back on this loss and say that's the day Les Miles star started to

Far too early to say Miles star is fading. We just won the nat. championship 9 months ago. We lost 6 starters on defense, at least 5 play on Sunday, not sure about Zenon. We lost RP at QB and have to start a frosh. I picked us 9-3 this year, sticking with it.

That loss hurt last night. A blowout. Team needs to recognize who they are and play harder. There is only one way to overcome inexperience, play the games. Our running back by committee has not worked out. Only Scott seems to show up. Other 2 backs have not been effective so far. I really like our receivers, great group. Secondary is very young.

We'll be ok in the long run.
