You don't know that Oeaux knew Kiffin would be unavailable. The $1.5 million we would have paid him is more than he makes as head coach of Florida Atlantic. It's logical to think that there was a decent chance at getting Kiffin here for at least a year or two before he moved on.
I disagree I don't think Kiffen was a big fan of the vertically challenged one AND while shorty doo wop can control where his players can and can't go he can't do squat about a coach. I think the allure of the HC gig is the only reason we have not been Kiffened! Just my .02
