accusing people of being angry is one the most annoying internet gambits. trying to put people on the defensive. deny they are pissed. denying you are angry makes you seem angry, which people take as a win. its a dumb strategy for midwits.

lowes is not a place where the purpose is to gather together. thats explicitly what church is.

People go to church for service which they find value in.

People go to Lowes to find products they find value in.

If the purpose is quarantine, why is Lowes essential?

I can't agree with this any more. I am AT work, albeit at a significantly lower rate than before, but working and earning. How is it okay and acceptable for essentials (with a ton of rules applied) but cannot be the same for the rest? I agree, open the economy, sideline gatherings and enjoy the savings from not spending on gathering type activities.

How about we just make people who got o church sew a cross on their coat so everyone knows what they do on Sunday's. that way when you are out and about, you can distance yourself!

@tirk youre wrong that we haven’t and won’t save lives by flattening the curve. We saved lives by spreading out exposure over time thereby not overwhelming hospitals. In Italy it got so bad that if you were over 60 and needed intubation you didn’t get it because they were overwhelmed. So by flattening we save people who may have been sacrificed otherwise.
Similarly by flattening the curve we got time to learn about how to treat people. Again lives were saved that would have been lost.
Now what is accurate is flattening the curve won’t reduce the number of people exposed, infected and sickened. Big difference

You mean like the Nazis did to the Jews, pin a gold star on their clothes?
Again that totally ignores the responsibility one assumes for having a freedom. A responsible person who attends such a service should self quarantine for the 14-21 days recommended. Of course they’d never get out of quarantine.
