Corey Webster to play both ways?

    I agree with Brett. Nick is a cautious coach and makes contingency plans. Last spring he had Clayton working out as a defensive back because we were shallow there. In the season, some true freshmen developed fast and we never had to use him there. But Nick and Clayton were both ready. But there was never the intention to play him both ways as a starter. Nor with Webster.

    I agree with you guys, after reading this thread I was thinking the same thing.
    The last thing we need to do is get an injury to CW with him playing WR.
    Our Defense is going to be the most steady, consistant part of this team
    since we have a new qb this year, hopefully no injuries on that side of the
    ball.

    Well, he might be on his ass pretty often except the only team in the Pac10 with a decent dline is USC.

    didnt he start his life out at QB? i guess you meant LSU. Maybe he can take over for Marcus/JaMarcus/Matt and play CB. Can he throw to himself downfield?

    I have Hawkins projecting as a slot receiver, backing up Green. So still no help at the flanker/WR position.
