when I saw it was a conspiracy i knew what he thought. Well sabans part may be true which is doubtful but the les part theres zero chance he was looking to hire sark. first off if he thought he needed an OC he would have hired him in the offseason. 2nd, he doesnt think anything is wrong with the offense so why would he be looking? 3rd, les and sark have polar opposite offensive philosophies and that west coast stuff aint bo ball.

Sarks hurry up offense is the opposite of les miles cant get a play in after a timeout meerkat prevent offense. But saban had nothing to lose either way, another offensive mind working the booth and another tie to west coast recruits. sabans smart enough to not be worried about les miles learning anything 40 yrs deep into his career. hell he still hasnt figured out you can use more than 2 wide receivers yet. whats this spread option nonsense you speak of. hes never even heard of it much less seeking it.

What difference does it make who is Les's OC? Saban knows this. Every OC we have had has left the building. Except for Cam who is content to be Miles stooge while collecting a fat paycheck. And if Les is gone after this season the new coach will hire his own OC who odds are wouldn't be Sark. Saban knows this too.

I doubt Saban is worried enough about Miles to do that. He could send us Kiffen for two weeks prior to playing Bama and Miles would handcuff him.

What a joke. Saban doesn't even think about Miles unless he needs a good laugh. Plus like everyone said, it doesn't matter who Miles OC is, because it's Bo Schembeklers offense period! LSU will be in the I formation running into a 8-9 man front as long as Miles is HC. Doesn't matter if it works or not, that's what Miles is going to do.

I thought he was gonna say it was because Nick wanted O. And having Sark and Kiffin on the same squad would tempt O to join the band again. I think that's crazy and I think this is crazy too. Why would a Louisiana team go out and hire a drunk?

Not so fast my friend. Not as crazy as you might think. Les gets fired. O becomes interim coach and then LSU hires someone else. O is pissed and goes to work for Saban out of spite. The fact that I'm starting to understand the mind of Little Nicky scares me

He wouldn't need Sark for that. If Miles gets fired and that's a big if, O gets named interim coach but he is told from the jump, look Ed, we are going to hire someone else at the end of the year. You will be able to retain your job on the staff as D line coach and assistant HC. You make sure he knows from jump street.

What a stupid theory. Sometimes the simplest and most obvious answers are correct. Why would Sark take the job? Because it's a great way to get back in to coaching. He'd rather be there than in a broadcast booth and Bama/Saban are his ticket.

Why would Saban hire him? Because he's Lane's bestie and Lane asked Nick for a favor. Told him all the good things about Sark (short list), including his ability to recruit and his connections on the West Coast, and his understanding of the QB position. That's a weakness for Bama right now, one of their few. Besides, he comes free of charge for awhile just like Kiffin. Now, would Saban be likely to enjoy saying "eff you" to USC or bring someone on staff to prevent LSU from hiring him? Has Saban had any issues beating Miles? No and Miles is still a better coach than Sardrunkian.
