Re: Bama and FSU No Longer After Fisher This is from warchant.com. by Gene Williams (Dot Com) A month-long Jimbo Fisher roller coaster has come to an end with the riders having nothing to show. Prolonged negotiations between the two sides came to end Saturday night when FSU withdrew its offer. With Fisher no longer in the picture, Bobby Bowden has very little time to not only find an OC, but also a LB coach and possibly a RB coach as well. [details]
Re: Bama and FSU No Longer After Fisher After some searching, I did indeed find on Tidefans.com a thread that indicates RUMORS today that Fisher is back on the FSU OC trail. That being said, not a single poster offerred any source, much less credible source. It's funny reading over there, as most of them want him to leave LSU so that the offense will SUFFER.
Re: Bama and FSU No Longer After Fisher I can show a source on par with Warchant, but it isn't where I "heard" it from: http://www.fanblogs.com/florida_state/006880.php UPDATE 1/7/2006 - 4:27p EST In a very strange, very unusual turn of events, Florida State and Fisher are back at the table talking contracts. The people I listen to know way more than me, they disagree often about what is real, (I do not doubt that they occasionally even lie) and I assure you Jimbo or Sexton are not calling any of us for advice.:thumb:
Re: Bama and FSU No Longer After Fisher Yep, that's tr...hold on, I gotta answer this call...very important...Hey Jimmy! How ya' been?
Re: Bama and FSU No Longer After Fisher Jimbo can't come close to the drama that Saban made so I don't think it even matters anymore. If he wants to go so be it, LES MILES will plug in another OC. The sky IS NOT FALLING! Our head coach will do what he has to do to give this team the best chance to win the NC next year, period! Very good OC's are out there just waiting for Les to give them a call. Heck,he has probably given a few coaches calls already. So if Jimbo goes lets not get all in a funk about it,ok?
Re: Bama and FSU No Longer After Fisher Major Applewhite has been contacted by LSU regarding the OC position...per Rivals.
Re: Bama and FSU No Longer After Fisher As much as some have complained about Fisher's play calling, I'm sure not all are sorry to see him go. I look at the results, and he has been good for our program. As JaMarcus matured, they opened it up more, and the passing attack this year was the best in a long time, well, since 2001. We'll miss Jimbo if he jumps, from the sounds of it, it may be best for all. I'm sure LSU will look like an upgrade for some bright OC's out there, and they are out there. I think we'll be ok, but continuity may suffer early in the year.
Re: Bama and FSU No Longer After Fisher You can only do so much with the talent that you have. Lets expand our minds here shall we.:thumb:
