    Yep !!

    The corps (and congress) refuses to even think about relocating people and using the sediment as a resource by dredging the channel and pumping it into the marsh at varying points down river.

    I would bulldoze all the river levees below Myrtle Grove into the marsh and permanently anchor dredge barges on both sides permanently pumping the spoil 24/7/365 into the marshes to maintain the shipping channel.

    There is absolutely NO reason for their reluctance to use the spoil as the resource it really is. That's why I'd take management functions away from the corps and let the corps work for the seabees !!

    You would have to undam the river. Of course this would flood out the delta towns.
