First of all congrats to Rice... You compared their fans to tulane fans mated wit Texas fans... It's funny, but, I find that Texas (UT) is very similar to LSU. (fan wise) .... (and School wise)... I think that they are way more similar to us than comparing them to Tulane. They have great pride in their shool. Great pride in their state. Can be obnoxious. Looking for the next big one and will do whatever it takes to reach the next national championship. They get no respect from the media.. Get criticized by everyone for thinking they are the best. so on and so on.... Also, I have been to Austin, It is almost like a mixture of Baton Rouge with the downtown being a cleaner version of the New Orleans "French Quarter" I bleed Purple and Gold.. but I think that Texas, as much as I hate them, are very similar to us. Big League no matter what you think. P.S. They always have someone in their conference that is ranked ahead of them. Texas is the "LSU" of the Big 12 Think about it....
I will give the Austones credit 6th street is heavan for anyone who likes live music. I don't know if it has the chrachter of the quarter though. Rice still has the worst fans I am yet to meet.
