Maybe I'm being defensive but you sound a little patronizing. If you lose your next two (could happen) and we win our bowl game (will happen)...guess what the records are?

I think he means what many Tiger(the real ones) fans have said all season. Many have expressed disappointment in the season and have seen it as a down year. I don't think they have played up to their potential but 9-2 with both losses to top ten teams at their place is a great season in the SEC. I think it was meant as a compliment only.

I didn't interpret it as such, but you never can tell about a Barner fan. :D :hihi:

I certainly didn'nt take it as patronizing. Our record is 9-2. No wudda cudda shudda. It's 9-2. It is what it is.

I've seen many on this board recall the 90's and accurately point out they would have been giddy over a 9-2 record and a juicy bowl game. And they are right!

Maybe so. Auburn doesn't want any of us right now, though.

I see where SabanFan is coming from... Aubbies are typical for taking stabs at LSU fans around here. "Congrats on the 9-2 season, even though it was a letdown, wink". However, I think this person simply was being nice and was proud of a fellow SEC team.

Thanks. I actually don't see it as a letdown based on how the season unfolded. Had you told me 9-2 in August, I would have been disappointed, but the team has overcome a lot of adversity to get to 9-2 and finish with a helluva run. I just hope we can make it to 10-2. ;) At any rate, I congratulate you guys on a fine season. I congratulate you guys for overcoming some adversity in your game with us and knocking off not only the SEC Champs, but the National Champs. It took us the AU game and an ass-kicking by UGA before we started down the road of finding ourselves. Honestly, I'd love to see an AU-LSU rematch in the SECCG, would you? Unfortunately, the league doesn't work that way. But for now, the balance of power is tilted towards the SEC West. I EXPECT you guys to win the SECCG and I want to see you in the Orange Bowl kicking USC's teeth in. Good luck the rest of the way. Thanks for stopping by. :thumb:

Didn't mean anything funny there, y'all. Your team is strong as Hell and so is your overall program. I didn't mean any insult.

But you can never tell with us Barners.

Seriously, good season. I think most of us realize that we barely beat a great team in LSU. That win really was a huge factor in our season. It gave Campbell the confidence in himself that he's shown all season long after missing it for 3 years.

And if we don't feel "lucky" to have come away with a "W", we should at least feel fortunate. It's a subtle difference, but important.

FInally, Hell yes, I'm glad we won't EVER have to play you in the Championship game.

On to other business - was that Randall that layed that vicious block on the REAL nice run by Broussard on the busted play. Whoever it was, nice freaking hit.

Yes, it was Randall making a big block on the busted play.

He ran, he threw, he blocked, overall played his best game that I remember.

And I agree with you, the LSU win by Aub. did seem to give Cambell some confidence he never had before. Aub. was a much better team after beating LSU by a pt. I'd like to see those 2 teams play again. Both are better ballclubs today than in early Oct.
