As large as this storm is and seeing that we are on the east side, it is now very likely we could experience winds in Baton Rouge *greater* than we had for Katrina. I badly want to see a football game in Tiger Stadium this weekend but I'll be the first to say that perhaps it is time to quit thinking about football in BR this weekend. We've already got the southeastern portion of our state in bad shape and this new storm will do the same to the southwestern and central portions. Perhaps the SEC can postpone the UT game until the weekend of the SEC champ game and then move the SEC champ. game back one week? Heck I don't really know, but I doubt LSU and/or UT will be the ones deciding this, most likely the SEC officials will take the lead.
I have a feeling that if they change this game at all it will because they are concrened that we will get tropical sotrm winds or worse, so if they only change it to Sunday or Monday, who's to say Baton Rouge and/or LSU would be in condition to host a football game, or even electricity. I just do not see that hapenning unless they decide to postpone it due to thinking BR will get heavy rains or winds in the 25-45 mile per hour range.
Looks like the Conference call is due for 430 eastern time, so we should know something in around 2 hours.
it's getting weaker, they're over reacting and it will probably come on shore somewhere between galveston and Lake Charles area, maybe as a Cat 3. BR should be fine for football.
Just keep the game in BR as long as this storm doesn't go anymore East. BR won't be hit insanely hard. UT fans can't come? Boo f-ing whooo
But, this storm does seem to be turning more and more east.....so I am not real sure what the hell they should do now
WHAT IN THE HELL DID YOU DO? First YOu get Katrina in Metarie, THEN you head and setup shop in Houston and Rita takes aim at you there. NOW your back in Metaire and this thing is starting to turn. I dont know what you did or who you pissed off, but why not go set up in Cali and maybe one of those Pacific storms will take out USC! :hihi:
:hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:        MT, I think thats it is the best intrest of the country that you go to Iraq. The war would be over in a matter of months.
Conference call moved back to 5pm per Charles Hanagriff. Says first two preferences are Sat. in TS or Sunday in TS, and that NO decision has been made yet.
