He has roads, bridges and monuments all over West Virginia with his name on it yet no democrat or Black Lives Matter has asked the state to remove them.

I am just having real trouble understanding why two violent groups were allowed to come to a protest with bats, rocks, pepper spray and spray can flame throwers and the police didn't keep them totally seperated. Why were the police told not to intervene unless told to intervene? This would mean someone could be getting beat up and the police would not be able to intervene.
