I could post some all day. I can't say for certain that they're all "preventing mass killings;" nor will I speculate just to belabor the point. That's a problem in comparing. It's hard to measure how many lives are saved when a perp is put down. There are many studies with statistics to support that...well, I've already posted links to show that.

I started the thread to show that people with CCP's DO thwart crimes after it was said, on here, that people with a permit probably never engage in use of it.

Take this clown in the story below. How many people might he have gone on to shoot?

July 2015 Thomas McCary, 62, shot four people, including a 1-year-old boy. McCary, who was firing with a gun in each hand, was stopped by a Cincinnati area resident with a concealed carry permit.

Here's one from ya boy's hometown of Chicago. A place with STRICT gun laws.

A robbery was thwarted at a Southwest Side corner store Saturday night when a patron with a concealed carry license shot and killed an armed robber, authorities said.

Citing preliminary information, police said a man walked into a store in the 2700 block of West 51st Street in the Gage Park neighborhood around 7 p.m., announced a robbery to an employee working behind the counter and displayed a handgun.

Another employee came from the back of the store and the gunman pointed his weapon at her, police said. He then made her go to the back of the store, which also serves as a currency exchange.

After that, a customer who was also inside the business pulled out a gun and opened fire at the robber, killing him, police said. The robber was believed to be in his 40s, police said.

Bottom line in all this is that people are going to die. I just want a right to be able to carry so I can protect myself. Shame on the muther phuckers who are against protecting oneself.

Obama is all about gun control but his kids go to a school that has armed security guards and he's followed by body-guards that are armed too. Since you want to play the "How many" game, how many Presidents have been murdered by guns? Why in the hell doesn't he have his body guards turn in their weapons?

Concealed Permit Holder Stops Attempted Mass Shooting in Chicago
On Friday, an Uber driver with a concealed carry permit thwarted an attempted mass shooting by pulling his own weapon and shooting a gunman who had opened fire in Chicago’s Logan Square.

Illinois Assistant State’s Attorney Barry Quinn verified that the driver “had a concealed-carry permit and acted in the defense of himself and others.”

According to the Chicago Tribune, the driver was watching “a group of people” walk in front of his car on North Milwaukee Avenue just before midnight when 22-year-old Everardo Custodio allegedly “began firing into the crowd.” The Uber driver pulled his own gun and “fired six shots at Custodio,” wounding him in “the shin, thigh, and lower back.”

A wacko walks into a classroom with 40 people there and shoots 5 before a CCH shoots him. How many lives were saved? That's a question no statistics can tell us.

This study shows how conceal carry permit holders, like yourself, are WAY more likely to be law-abiding citizens.

How law-abiding are permit holders?
One extremely easy fact to get information on is how law-abiding permit holders are. Much of the existing public discussion on crimes committed by permit holders in the media involves a report by the Violence Policy Center. Unfortunately, that report contains many inaccuracies as it often double or triple counts cases that shouldn’t even be counted as crimes or problems with guns to begin with.2 Consider the two large states at the front of the current debate, Florida and Texas: Both states provide easy web access to detailed records of permit holders. During over two decades, from October 1, 1987 to May 31, 2014, Florida has issued permits to more than 2.64 million people, with the average person holding a permit for more than a decade.3 Few -- 168 (about 0.006%) -- have had their permits revoked for any type of firearms related violation, the most common being accidentally carrying a concealed handgun into a gun-free zone such as a school or an airport, not threats or acts of violence. It is an annual rate of 0.0002 percent. The already low revocation rate has been declining over time. Over the last 77 months from January 2008 through May 2014, just 4 permits have been revoked for firearms-related violations.
