Conceal and Carry Liscense; Who's got one?

    With this permit I understand that you are to carry the gun you are permitted to carry thru the class. ie; if you go thru with a 9 you can't carry a .40. At least that is what I was told. However if you go thru with a .40 can you carry a 9. If not can you get permitted to carry more than one gun or type of gun?

    Thats not the way I understood it when I looked into it a couple of years ago. I was told they prefer that you take the class with the weapon you plan to carry. :thumb: :thumb:

    That is not true. You can take any caliber of pistol that you want to the class. You will be licensed to carry any caliber. It does not matter what you take to the class. On your card this is an approval for derringer too. I have that box checked as well. I don't know why there is a separate distinction on your license for a derringer. I can carry either one.

    You have to take a class? In MS you just answer a few questions, send in your money and Bam.

    Alaska does not require anything anymore.

    What part of the right to keep and bare arms requires a permit?

    None of it.......it's the right to keep your ass out of jail that requires the permit. :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:

    You don't need a permit in Louisiana it keep firearms but you need one to carry concealed firearms legally.
