This is all there is on my D drive but it's just there and there is nothing to click. If I have another D drive it must be well hidden

I just restored it and it said the point I chose to restore it from was missing or damaged. Running another restore now from an earlier point in time

I fixed it. All I had to do was hit the reset button on Windows and it reinstalled it with little loss of data and I had already save what is important on a flash drive.

Thanks to @KyleK for putting in the right path. When I came to that fork in the road I took it.

Glad you got it. Sorry I couldn't give you more detailed instructions, but I was kinda tipsy!

All windows pc's (that I have seen anyway) have part of the hard drive partioned into a d: drive for recovery purposes.

I was late to the thread ... but I was going to say, all new computers come with the backup disk already installed on the computer.

NOW ... that you have the computer back up and running .. you really should burn a recovery start up disc. Go into recover repair, and select create start up disk. You can only do it ONCE. so make sure you read up about it.

Here's one site about it. How to Create Windows 10 System Repair Disk or Boot Drive (wondershare.com)
