This is football, not Queer Eye. If we have to have a color theme for the game, then we seriously need to reexamine our priorities.
MikeD, in all due respect, you are talking to adult men who spend rediculous amounts of time on a message board discussing LSU Sports for hours on end... Discussing what color to wear is one of the most practical threads this group of football starved fans has had in months... Bottom line, Gold looks best to a National Audience and it's our dominant color - wear whatever makes you happy.
I could not agree more with you. I can not stand these "coordinated" color themed games. I think it is all a scam run by the T-shirt shops.
I just designed a politically correct LSU fan game day t-shirt. It needs graphics and logo still tho:
Seriously though, do most people really care what color is worn? Usually for me my game day attire only matters if it comes down to superstitious reasons.
It does seem that gold has been the unofficial/official color of choice the last couple of years. It looks great on tv, and it really stands out at away games. :geaux:
Did anyone notice that at the Utah/A&M game how their fans really stood out. They not only all had on red..........it was the same shade of red. Did they hand out Tshirts at the gate or what. It really looked sharp. Maybe if LSU had 1 person in gold seated to a person in purple/then gold/then purple....wouldn't that look great on TV. I wish at Bama we would do that with Crimson/white...but with our(LSU and Bama's) larger stadiums this might be hard to do.
yes it did and regardless what idiots complain about the gold looks sharp as hell when they pan the LSU stadium. if some people are tired of it, good, you can wear what you wish and avoid their threads. They are just stating their opinions. Hell thats what college football is about....the atmosphere and the great views of the fans and the stadiums to go along with the crystal. And my socks don't even match.
