Fox Sports SW Big 12 Predictions Week 1

Oklahoma 37, Louisiana-Monroe 30: Trevor Knight will make his debut on pay-per-view, and don't be surprised if this one looks like a slugfest in the fourth quarter. CB Cortez Johnson and DL Chuka Ndulue are suspended, and QB Kolton Browning makes the Sooners very mindful of both losses.

Heisman hopeful RB Duke Johnson of "the U" is living up to all the hype....at halftime vs FAU, he has 194 of Miami's 309 yards (about 2/3), including 156 rushing yards on 12 carries (13.0 YPC), a 53 yard TD run and 1 catch for 38 yards

defending Big 12 Co-Champions Kansas State (not ranked) got upset tonite by the North Dakota State Bison, the back-to-back defending Div I-FCS national champions

Kansas State was favored by two TDs. Final score: ND State 24, K State 21. NDSU outgained KSU 382 yards to 320, and 19 first downs to 17

K State lost eight defensive starters from last year. The new K State QB threw for close to 300 today and K State had two 100 yard receivers today, but K State's run game was destroyed, held to 1.7 YPC and 40 yards

    crazy:

-today was the day Kansas State unveiled an 8-foot bronze statue of Bill Snyder at the entrance to the stadium. The school also dedicated a $90 million renovation to the west side of its stadium in a ceremony today attended by Gov. Sam Brownback and Senators Pat Roberts and Jerry Moran.

-the game tonite was the second-largest crowd in K State history.

-the Wildcats built a 21-7 lead by the third quarter, thinking they were going to win a blow out, before everything fell apart.

-with 8:58 left in the game and K State holding on to a 4 point lead, NDSU put together a 8:30 drive for the winning TD, their longest drive of the game

What a nightmare for K State

    Saban's special teams > Beamer's.

    In fact, Saban's special teams > Saban's offense. :D
