that was the only way to whisper , all you have to do is act like you are going to copy and paste then you can read it . My $$$ are on Bama when I bet I like to win . I think the message was great . I am for the SEC just not a lot of heart in it
Using a smaller type face would have also worked to produce a "whisper", but using the yellow was ingenious as it made the reader work to read it. Now that you explain your message, except for the wager part, I agree --- I too would like to see the SEC take it all, but as a beat-up LSU fan, I just don't have a lot of heart left for the balance of this year's football. With regards to wagering, sounds like you invest some thought in it... I'm guessing that Alabama has been a consistent favorite these past few years, how have they fared against the point spread?
There are ways to get it done without upsetting the cart. If you want to avoid graduations, have hosted quarterfinal games the following TU, W, TH, F/SA. If semis are played New Years weekend, the NC can still be on 1/11. That's about a week between games. You could also do 2 weeks between games and end the season later for all of two teams. The move from bowls to BCS and BCS to playoffs were both positive IMO. An 8 team playoff could be better, depending on how it's done. There was always a desire to crown a champion and we've moved to a less convoluted way in both cases. Journalists are paid to bitch, but the caucophony at the end of the season seems to have been muted.
There's a thread about moving the date players can get graded for the league with a suggestion the NFL change its dates. If we're having a quarter final on a TU, as one example, what about Wednesday classes or finals? Is this a veiled request for the academic calendar to change as well? I'm reading what I am wondering is an autonomous type attitude. No. I don't think that's the word I"m looking for here. It's almost as if everything needs to change so eight teams can get in and it's not changes in college football, it's the things that conflict with people.
I edited that to make sure it said Over on OOC games ... Looked back a little for the hell of it ... in Sparty's last 10 OOC games, it's been the over in eight. On the over, Bama's numbers in the same situation are as good: eight of last nine, maybe nine of last ten bowl games as one example ... neutral field over's are huge.
I was talking about next week, following graduation. That's not the case. Figure out what is important and work creatively within those bounds. Because I care, without much effort I can find solutions; just imagine what could be done with money on the line. I appreciate you bringing up reasons the playoffs can't happen, but so far they seem like obstacles, not road blocks.
The "over" sure looks like as sure a thing as betters can have... Just hope that TF betters don't follow your research and get caught in the "one out of ten" case happening next week. As hot as things have been here of late, the mob would surely turn on you and we've already lost too many top notch posters!
