We won't know who is in until the season is over, like last year. Just sit back and enjoy the ride, pull for your favorites and against your least liked teams. This is going to be a great November!!!!!!
So bama loses to ole miss at home, and they're no. 4. If LSU loses to bama by 1 in OT in Tuscaloosa, do they stay in the top 4? SHIT NO
There's no doubt Bama gets shamelessly pimped, but they do have NCs and recruiting championships and refs on the payroll and mini-me. Vegas also loves them.
i could see defending bama and their one loss until they had to have a game winning drive vs lowly tennessee that was like a 2nd loss to me so if we are talking "body of work" and the eye test, then absolutely bama is not in that top 4
We beat Bama Saturday and they're eliminated. But as much as it looks like the season should easily play out with the top ranked and undefeated teams playing each other, there will be plenty of chaos which will keep this poll interesting each week. Every team in the top 16 has 2 tough games remaining on their schedule, and in some cases more. As far as the current top 4 goes, I don't have a problem with it. All it means is, "At this point here's our rankings". Several of the undefeated teams have weak strength of schedules. It will all play out but it won't be without controversy. Someone will get left out. Just like they did almost every year in the BCS.
The sad part is, if we lose this weekend, the committee, the gumps and the oddsmakers will all be justified. God I hope we don't lose. In fact, I hope we stomp them into the ground. They're not that good this year, it's just that you never know how this game will go.
How far will they fall though? If LSU beats Alabama, LSU will be number 1, but the voters won't drop Alabama very far, maybe just right behind TCU and Baylor. And then if they win out and TCU and Baylor both lose 1 game, and let's say Clemson loses to FSU or Ohio State loses to Michigan, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Alabama back in the top 4. LSU needs to demolish Alabama, to put them away for good.
