  3. The next thing that should be passed is if you go pro early you pay the college back your forfeited years of tuition.

I still say these kids are getting paid in a way. I didn’t get a free ride in school, hell im still paying on my shit. There should be a little shit the sandwich here for the “student athletes”. Horrible ruling

  4. As a capitalist and a believer in the ideal of self-ownership, I like this ruling. It's okay if the schools never pay the athletes anything beyond the scholarship. What I have a problem with is the NCAA telling Americans that they cannot accept money that people want to give them. If I have value based on my talents, nobody should be allowed to prevent me from cashing in.

This move won't kill college sports. It will save it. In the history of the world, the entities that refuse to adapt are the ones that crumble and die.

  5. FWIW, I think scholly’s now are annual and renewed each year, so if they leave early, nothing is owed in repayment.

  6. That is correct, and the school can pretty much send a guy packing as well.
  7. I am sure Bama boosters are lining up to line the pockets of their players as you said this
  8. They already do it. It's just under the table. Not just Bama. It's everywhere there is winning big college football. Even LSU.

  9. Yes. Who wouldn't want to play for a school that levies punitive fines on those good enough to go pro?

This is a good idea for someone who truly wanted to kill college sports.

  10. Another aspect I see in this.....the third rail for college athletes has always been agents; you touch one, your amateur status dies. Now the Elias Ricks' of the world are going to have agents approaching them while they're still high school sophmores. What's the NCAA going to say then?
