1. Just saw this, I don't like it. Amateur sports is dying...everything is a business now.
  2. Here comes the $50k checks to 5-stars for local car dealership sponsorships...
  3. The way I fell about it is. That most of your profits go into an "escrow" account. You may receive say 20% while in school. That might be a little high. I just gabbed that number out of the air as an example

If you leave or graduate on leave after your sophomore year on good standing you get the full remaining balance. Good standing no potential NCAA violations or criminal charges pending. If anything is pending the balance is held until the issue is resolved.

If you leave the team because you do something stupid like the unspecified breaking of team rules it goes to the general scholarship fund.

If you do something really stupid like that involves the law and a jury the balance can go to the injured party after conditions are met.

  5. WE’RE the stoopid ones to live in a society in which we put kid athletes on such a stage.

If a college student cuts grass for money, let the athletes cash in on what WE make them worth. I see a lot of good and bad that can result from this but, at the end of the day it is a game and is is about money so fuggit.
